Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate to gather and review software requirements/user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications, and work with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions. Execute development methodologies using various programming languages.

• Develop and execute automated test plans/strategies based on business requirements. Collaborate with engineers/architects, clients, and others to validate test environments, test data, and test results. Design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results, and produce associated reports. Responsibilities include unit testing, dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and user acceptance testing.

• Provide application support, including solving configuration and environment issues, and assist in the software deployment process.

Qualifications:

• Extensive release management and engineering experience with web, mobile, and backend services and/or applications.

• Proven experience driving cross-organization projects and strategic initiatives.

• Experience working with executives, providing detailed status updates, and maintaining a pulse on program status.

Job Contribution:

• Serve as an expert-level technical professional, providing advisory support on technical knowledge and AT&T technologies.

Education:

• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, Math; Developer nanodegree, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

• Typically requires 8-10 years of experience. This is a Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Our Principal Software Engineers earn between $158,200.00 and $237,400.00 USD annually. The starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
