Role Overview:
The Agile Team Director (L3) is responsible for overseeing business decisions and prioritization for agile scrum teams, ensuring alignment with key business objectives. Reporting to the Head of Strategy & Transformation, this leader will drive the adoption and continuous improvement of Agile methodologies across digital teams, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.
This role will play a critical part in training and leading Agile ways of working across business teams, helping to enhance communication, efficiency, and execution. Additionally, the Agile Team Director will act as a bridge between digital Scrum teams and other departments, ensuring smooth collaboration and streamlined delivery of initiatives.
This role is based in Dallas, Texas, requiring in-office presence 5 days/week. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee business decisions for agile scrum teams, ensuring prioritization aligns with key business needs and capacity constraints.
- Lead the training and adoption of Agile methodologies across business teams, reinforcing best practices and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate collaboration and communication between digital Scrum teams and other departments to drive efficiency and alignment.
- Support the Head of Strategy & Transformation in implementing strategic initiatives that enhance Agile execution.
- Monitor Agile team performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and recommending improvements.
- Act as a business partner to ensure Agile processes align with broader company goals and deliver meaningful outcomes.
- Champion Agile culture, promoting adaptability, transparency, and collaboration across teams.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in Agile leadership, digital strategy, or related roles.
- Proven expertise in Agile methodologies, Scrum frameworks, and scaled Agile implementations.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience training and coaching teams in Agile practices.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Data-driven mindset, using metrics and performance indicators to optimize Agile processes.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a large, highly matrixed organization.
- Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe, Certified Scrum Master, PMI-ACP).
- Understanding of digital transformation and Agile’s role in driving business outcomes.
