As a Senior Technology Security, you are an experienced professional with advanced, interdisciplinary knowledge, resolving difficult and complex issues using broad professional concepts. Primarily supporting the FirstNet/AON security elements and guiding other by applying advanced principles and company practices. Leads moderate sized projects (or parts of larger projects) with strategic value. Operates autonomously with frequent senior leadership interaction. Assess overall security risk of systems, prioritizes and leads activities to improve AT&T's overall security risk posture.
Note: The position will be an “overnight shift,” Sunday to Thursday.
Key roles and responsibilities:
SME on the FirstNet architecture/service with a particular focus on the security elements, lifecycle activities, vulnerability management and remediation, compliance, audits, UAM, new builds/launches for capacity and new services.
Upgrades, certificate renewals, inventory management, application administration, review and analysis of FirstNet requirements, works with senior team members to develop integrated plans to protect FirstNet assets and information technology, and administers security systems to support daily FirstNet operations
Design, implement, and maintain network security measures including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, (IDS/IPS), and secure VPNs
Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond to actual threats
Conduct regular network security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential weaknesses
Design, implement, and maintain security architectures and tools for applications/systems/network
Monitor for vulnerabilities and stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies
Develop, implement, and enforce security policies while ensuring adherence to relevant laws, industry standards and best practices
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal security policies
Prepare and present reports on the security posture of technology applications/systems/network.
Continuously assess security risks, respond to breaches, and manage incidents to mitigate damage
Work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including IT, legal, vendors, and clients, to integrate security measures
Provide expert advice on security issues related to applications/systems/network and collaborate on the development and implementation of comprehensive security architectures
Educate employees on security best practices and provide support, including training and resource management
Desired Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math; Developer nanodegree; or equivalent experience preferred
Our Senior Technology Security earns between $118,800 - $178,200 annually. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
