Overview:
The Lead Member of Technical Staff (LMTS) will be actively engaged in a hands-on role within the WiFi technology lab in Plano, TX. The candidate will support IoT automation within the OTA test environment as needed. Responsibilities include executing WiFi tests using specialized test equipment, developing test cases based on use case reviews, and conducting problem reporting and root cause analysis related to WiFi issues associated with AT&T broadband residential gateways (RGs) and WiFi extenders.
Key Roles/Responsibilities:
- IoT Automation: Drive IoT automation in an OTA environment, ensuring efficient and effective testing processes.
- End-to-End Testing: Conduct comprehensive end-to-end testing across multiple products for RG and extender releases.
- Migration Support: Support the migration process to the PRPL codebase, ensuring smooth integration and minimal disruption to existing functionality.
- Work Prioritization: Independently set day-to-day work priorities while working to achieve the goals of the team/organization in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze WiFi performance data to determine whether it meets expectations and identify areas for improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various internal cross-functional organizations to analyze test results, reproduce, and identify issues.
- Problem Documentation: Clearly document and describe issues found during testing, providing adequate supporting data.
- Vendor Collaboration: Collaborate with vendors towards product certification, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Bug Tracking: Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution, engaging others in collaborative problem solving.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to the internal team, including analyzing device logs and providing analysis results.
- Ad Hoc Testing: Develop ad hoc test cases as situations may require
Key Skills:
- Strong communication skills
- Detail-oriented and process-aware
- Understanding of 802.11 b/g/n/ac/ax/be WiFi 6/6E/7 features
- Understanding of WiFi test methodologies
- Understanding of basic Agile concepts and methodologies
- WiFi test experience
- IP networking experience
- Familiarity with WiFi tools such as Veriwave, Octoscope PALs, IGEN, Wireshark
- Experience using Mac, Xcode, XCUITEST, UIAUTOMATOR2, and Android SDK
- Proficiency in JAVA and Python programming
- Experience in mobile app automation (iOS and Android) using Appium
- Familiarity with BDD, Cucumber, JUNIT, Maven, and ROBOT framework
- Network and WiFi protocol analysis
- Experience with PRPL OS (prpl Foundation Open Source Software) is a plus
Education and Years of Experience:
- PhD in an approved field with no minimum years of relevant experience or Masters in an approved field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelors in an approved field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Our Lead Member of Technical Staff, earns between $171,600.00 - $257,400.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
