The Technical Product Manager is responsible for defining and driving the product vision, roadmap, and execution by collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric software solutions and meet business objectives. Requires familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices, service-oriented architecture, and product analytics.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
-Develop technical product vision and strategy by understanding customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape. Define and prioritize the technical product roadmap by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business, architecture, UX, and other product managers.
-Guide product development by defining and communicating detailed software product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Ensure technical product viability, desirability, and alignment with business goals by establishing success criteria and monitoring product performance.
-Work closely with Architecture and Engineering on technical design and to identify and manage critical dependencies. Support trade-off discussions, negotiations, and alignment on feature prioritization, technical solutions, and timing with stakeholders.
-Serve as the voice of the customer, ensuring a consistent, high-quality user experience throughout the product lifecycle. Participate in sprint planning and support feature refinement, addressing questions and providing guidance as needed.
-Act as a subject matter expert and acknowledged authority within the organization for assigned product(s) or product line(s). This career step is assigned moderately complex products or product lines.
-Experience working on a single technical product or product line. Writes user stories and sets the product direction at the team level OR writes features and sets the direction for a group of teams.
Qualifications:
Strong product management mindset with the ability to create and execute strategic roadmaps.
Solid technical background, ideally with experience as a Technical Business Analyst or Developer.
Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Azure DevOps, along with familiarity with SAFe Agile processes.
Preferred technical Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Experience working with highly technical software products.

Typically requires 3-5 years experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile:The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, demonstrating a strong technical acumen gained through prior roles as a Technical Business Analyst or Developer. They should excel in creating roadmaps, developing business cases, and collaborating effectively with engineering teams and business stakeholders. Strong negotiation skills, quick problem-solving abilities (both short-term and long-term), and a self-organized approach are essential.
Key attributes include:
A customer-first mindset.
A bias for action, taking initiative to drive results.
Familiarity with REST APIs and tools such as Postman.
The ability to voice opinions strongly in meetings, contributing to decision-making processes.
Excellent storytelling skills to effectively communicate product vision and strategies.
Our Senior Tech Product Mgr, earns between $118,800.00-$178,200.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
