About The Job

Are you a proficient Linux System Administrator with a passion for managing complex IT infrastructures? We're seeking a skilled professional to join our team and drive excellence in system administration, scripting, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Linux-based servers and systems across our organization.
• Perform security vulnerability assessments and implement remediation strategies.
• Develop and maintain scripts (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation and monitoring purposes.
• Ensure system stability, scalability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new applications and services.
• Provide vulnerability remediation solutions

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5-8 years proven experience as a Linux System Administrator
• In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems (RedHat, Rocky, Ubuntu, etc.) and server administration
• Experience with security vulnerability checks and implementing remediation measures
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Perl, etc
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and configuration (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and virtualization technologies (VMware, FlexCloud)
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive problem resolution
• Works with other System Administrators to resolve their server vulnerabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with configuration management tools (CFEngine)
• Knowledge of database management systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Familiarity with Operating System Logging and Alarming  (SACT, Splunk)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios)

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field preferred
• Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, LPIC, CompTIA Linux+) are a plus.
• USA citizen
• USA government public trust security clearance or at least ability to pass security clearance scrutiny (mandatory)

Our Lead Technology Security, earns between $116,700.00-$196,100.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
