Role Overview:This is a hands-on role that results in the delivery of an application or service. You will be responsible for translating core architecture for business requirements into the final technical solution, which consists of platform, network, software, cloud, etc. This involves functional, performance, and reliability analysis using engineering models and techniques, primarily through software development across the vertical stack.
Primary Responsibilities:
Elaborate the design and interfaces for specific components, including defining subsystems and their interfaces, allocating responsibilities to subsystems, understanding solution deployment, and communicating requirements for interactions with the solution context.
Align development teams to a shared technical direction and partner with those teams in elaborating the solution and its interfaces; validate technology assumptions, evaluate implementation alternatives, and establish critical non-functional requirements (NFRs) at the solution level.
Create and enable the Continuous Delivery Pipeline, including participating in planning, definition, and high-level design of the system solution and exploring alternatives.
Develop the Architectural Runway in support of new business features and capabilities; work with portfolio stakeholders, Solution and Enterprise Architects to develop, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of enablers; participate in project planning, system and solution demos, and retrospective workshops.
Understand technical characteristics of and assist with architectural integration of external components, systems, and platforms.
Qualifications:
Experience: 8+ years of system engineering experience and architecture. Experience working on large-scale complex systems is essential.
Technical Skills:
Experience with MicroServices and event-driven design.
Domain experience with Ordering and Billing, preferably in Telecom.
SaaS integration experience is a plus.
Cloud experience is a plus.
Telecom experience is a plus.
Experience in complex technical transformation.
End to end experience with SDLC.
Certification:SAFe Architect certificate.
Education:Preferred Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math; Developer nanodegree; or equivalent experience.
Contribution:Expert-level technical professional. Advisor on technical knowledge and AT&T technologies.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Our Principal System Engineering, earns between $141,300.00-$237,400.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
